Work on the Church Continues in 2013
On the last Tuesday morning of every month, the Men on Missions get together for breakfast at the church. Afterwards, they take on a variety of repair/improvement projects at the church and the church campus. The session starts at 7:00 A.M. and is over whenever the task(s) are completed. Anyone and everyone is invited to attend and help out. On Tuesday, August 27, 2013, several Christian men and women, along with Brother David met at the church and got busy. A delicious breakfast was provided by Maria Bell and Debbie Tankersley who arrived an hour early to have everything ready so the breakfast and work could commence on time. Slowly, but surely, things are coming together as far as the building is concerned. If a lot of people do a little, a lot gets done!
This month's projects involved replacing a number of damaged acoustic ceiling tiles in the basement, replacing some old storage cabinetry, some painting and cleaning as well as smoothing the gravel at the new parking lot, bush hogging and weed eating. The Fall Festival sign was also put up on the front lawn.
Here are some photos of the men working on these projects. Sorry we did not get photos of everyone involved but The Lord knows who used their talents that day. (Okay, we were too busy eating to take pictures of the ladies and food.) Thank you all! Amen.
