Nursery Taking Shape
The church's new nursery is slowly but surely taking shape. Church members, volunteers and the pastor have cleaned out the former Pastor's Office in the back left hand corner of the basement and have converted it into what will be our new nursery. The walls were cleaned, and stripped. A dumpster load of items/junk were removed and several fresh coats of paint have been added. A new recessed light was also added in the hallway to brighten it up. Additional work remains to be done. Plans also include, carpeting, baby beds, cribs, and a split door so parents can look in at any time. Workers are meeting on the last Tuesday of every month at 7:00 AM to work on projects at the church. What is your specialty? God has given us all talents. Are you using yours?
If you were wondering why there are chairs in the nursery, in the interim, the Youth Group has been using the nursery room for their meetings until permanent space for them can be obtained. Please help us keep this space clean for our children and clean up after you are done (Coke can in window). Keep up the good work! God's work!!!

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering Goal Reached!
Thanks to all those who contributed to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions. Our church's goal this year was to collect $1800 dollars. At the Sunday night business meeting, it was announced that we had met our goal. The national goal for Annie Armstrong is $70,000,000. "When people give to the offering, 100 percent of their gift will be transformed into missionary salaries and ministry supplies. Those missionaries and supplies will help others hear the message of Christ and respond in faith to His offer of salvation. Time and again our missionaries relate how the offering is their lifeblood. They know that behind each penny given, there is a Southern Baptist who believes in what they do and are affirming the need to equip them to share the gospel with those who need a Savior." http://www.anniearmstrong.com/
